An Analysis of Influencing Factors and Scenario of Carbon Emission
Decoupling in Fujian Province

Abstract:

With the aggravation of global warming and the surging of greenhouse gas emission,countries around the world
began taking actions in energy conservation and emission reduction. China has also made a series of policies on CO2 emission
reduction. According to the Kaya identity and Tapio elastic indicator of“decoupling”,this paper constructs decomposition
models of carbon emission and Tapio decoupling elasticity by using factor decomposition method. And according to the quantitative
analysis of the decoupling of carbon emission and economic growth in Fujian Province during 1990 2013,we find
that the decoupling of carbon emission in Fujian in the past 20 years has been weak. On this basis,this paper predicts the
decoupling state of Fujian’s carbon emission in 2015 by analyzing the demand for energy conservation and emission reduction
in“the Twelfth Five-year Plan”with control variates method. And a feasible resolution of CO2 emission reduction is proposed
as well.
